When I first came to Greg, I was in a very different place. I was struggling with addiction, my confidence was low, and I didn’t have a real understanding of myself or why I was behaving the way I was. I felt lost, overwhelmed, and stuck in patterns I couldn’t seem to break.
In the early stages, I started to see things differently. I began to understand how my thinking was affecting how I felt and how I was reacting to situations, something I had never properly recognised before.
As we went deeper, I started to connect what was happening in my life now to experiences from my past. This helped me understand where a lot of my thoughts, reactions, and beliefs had come from. For the first time, I was able to step back, question them, and see that they weren’t always true.
A big part of the process was learning how to manage my thinking and responses. I was constantly overthinking, assuming the worst, and putting myself down. Through the work we did, I learned how to catch those thoughts, challenge them, and respond differently. I also began to understand patterns in my relationships, including how I had been people-pleasing and not setting boundaries.
Alongside the sessions, I spent a lot of time reflecting and writing things down. I kept a daily log of what I was thinking, how I was feeling, and what I needed to focus on. That structure helped me stay consistent and apply what we were working on day to day, rather than just leaving it in the session.
I also found myself talking about things I hadn’t really spoken about before, which made a bigger difference than I expected. It allowed me to be more honest, not just in the sessions, but in my life more generally.
This has made a huge difference. I feel calmer, more in control, and far less reactive. I’m able to make decisions based on what I want, rather than being driven by fear, guilt, or what I think other people expect from me.
One of the biggest changes for me has been understanding who I am. Before this, I didn’t feel like I really knew myself. Now, I have a much clearer sense of who I am, how I want to live, and how I want to show up in my life.
Over the time we’ve worked together, I’ve also been able to make some major changes in my life, including moving on from a long-term relationship that I now understand wasn’t right for me. I communicate differently, I understand others better, and I no longer feel stuck in the same cycles.
The progress I’ve made has been consistent and has built over time. I’m now 12 months clean, something I’m incredibly proud of, and something I don’t believe I would have achieved without this process.
I’m still working with Greg now on a monthly basis, which helps me stay accountable and continue building on everything I’ve learned.
Looking back, I can honestly say I’m not the same person I was when I started. I feel stronger, more confident, and more in control of my life. I’ve even done things I never thought I would, including public speaking, which would have felt impossible before.
I genuinely don’t believe I would be where I am today without Greg, the support he’s given me, and the process he has taken me through. This has changed my life, and I will always be grateful for Greg coming into my life.
