“Writing my life story made me see everything differently.”
I was stuck in my own head, overthinking and holding myself back. This process helped me understand myself properly and start taking clearer, more consistent action in my life and work.

I’m 32, and when I first came to Greg, I was struggling more than I probably wanted to admit. From the outside things looked fine, but internally I was dealing with a lot of self-doubt, overthinking, and pressure, both in my business and personally.
I’d lost direction. I knew I had more in me, but I couldn’t seem to move forward in a clear or consistent way. I was getting in my own way a lot, putting things off, overanalysing everything, and being very hard on myself.

One of the biggest turning points for me was doing my life story. I didn’t expect it to have the impact it did. I thought it would be a quick exercise, but it turned into something much deeper. Writing it all out made me see patterns and connections I’d never noticed before.

It also pushed me to open up in a way I hadn’t done before. There were things in there I hadn’t really spoken about or hadn’t fully processed. That alone shifted something for me and made it easier to be more honest and vulnerable, not just in the sessions, but in my life more generally.

From there, the work started to build. I began to understand how my thinking was affecting everything, how I was speaking to myself, and how that was shaping my decisions and behaviour.

A big focus was on changing that internal dialogue. I didn’t realise how negative it had become. Learning to catch those thoughts, challenge them, and respond differently made a real difference over time.

We also worked on structure, direction, and how I was managing my time, energy, and business decisions. Instead of constantly feeling stuck or overwhelmed, I started to take clearer action and follow through on things.

What I found most useful was that it wasn’t just talking. There were things to apply between sessions, which kept things moving and made the progress feel real rather than just something discussed in the room.

Over time, things began to shift. I felt more focused, more confident in my decisions, and less controlled by overthinking. I started to move forward with more clarity and consistency.

It also had an impact on other areas of my life, including my relationships. Being more open and understanding myself better has made a difference in how I communicate and how I show up.

Looking back, I can see how much has changed. I feel more grounded, clearer in my direction, and more in control of how I think and respond.

I’m grateful for the work we’ve done. It’s made a real difference, and it’s given me something I can continue to build on going forward.
