A THOUGHT FROM ME
“What if the feeling that you’re meant for more isn’t arrogance, unrealistic thinking or wishful thinking? What if it’s trying to tell you something important?”
DOES THIS SOUND FAMILIAR?
You may look at your life and recognise that many things are going well yet still find yourself carrying a feeling that there’s something more you want to experience, create, achieve or become. It can be difficult to explain because it isn’t necessarily about being unhappy with what you already have.
In fact, you can be grateful for what you have and still feel called towards something more. Yet that feeling often creates confusion, especially when other people tell you that you should simply be content with where you are.
WHAT MAY REALLY BE HAPPENING
Many people dismiss this feeling as dissatisfaction, impatience or constantly wanting the next thing. Sometimes that’s true. What I often see, however, is a deeper desire for growth, meaning, fulfilment or alignment with who they are becoming.
The feeling that you’re meant for more is not always about having more money, more success or more achievements. Quite often, it’s connected to untapped potential, neglected ambitions, forgotten dreams or parts of yourself that haven’t had enough room to grow. The frustration comes when that feeling is repeatedly ignored, postponed or pushed aside.
A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE
Perhaps the question isn’t whether you’re meant for more. Perhaps the better question is what “more” means to you.
For one person, more may mean greater freedom. For another, it may mean more purpose, stronger relationships, deeper fulfilment or the courage to pursue something that genuinely matters. The answer is rarely found by copying somebody else’s version of success. It’s found by defining your own.
SOMETHING TO CONSIDER
If fear, practicality and other people’s expectations were removed from the equation, what would “more” look like for you?
